the first one is, obviously, correct. the second example is in question. is this the result of poorly spoken english, or is it grammatically acceptable? i tend to think it's the former, but it's always good to have verification.

awesome. i am a closet grammar freak. not that i use proper grammar all the time, or that i know it fully, but i love language and how simple sounds or images can communicate vast concepts of the imagination. thanks for the blog; i definitely look forward to reading it!
